Vaccination Centers in Every District for Students, Said Education Minister on 26 August 2021.
The Ministry of Education wants to ensure the vaccination for students before open educational institutions in Bangladesh. For this reason, vaccination centers will be set up at the district level. It has been decided to vaccinate all the students above 18 years.
On Thursday (27 August 2021) at noon, a meeting was held with the technical committee including the Ministry of Education Board and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Board to monitor the situation in Covid-19 and reopen the educational institution. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni informed the decision there.
According to the meeting sources, the preparations have started with the target of opening educational institutions from October this year. As the rate of Covid-19 infection and death is falling down, the vaccination process is working fully.
In such of situation, every teacher, officers, and employee of all schools and colleges will have to take two doses of vaccine on 30 September 2021. This is compulsory for all of them. If anyone has a physical problem, they should inform the department by written letter. The decision will be taken by the Education Board Department, said the education minister.
The education minister said that most of the teachers, and employees were vaccinated already. But the students were lagging behind. We will take care of it as soon as possible.
