Primary and Mass Education authorities decided to reopen Primary Schools from March 1st, 2022. From that day in-person classes will start in primary schools.
As per the official announcement of Primary and Mass Education, all primary schools in the country will re-open in-person classes from 1st March.
Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, public relations officer at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education said that an official notice will be published very soon regarding this matter.
The public relations officer said this decision was taken on Thursday (February 17, 2022) night due to the declining rising of Covid-19 infections.
Meanwhile, yesterday education minister Dipu Moni announced that all educational institutions, except primary schools, will be able to reopen in-person classes from February 22. Only vaccinated students can attend in-person classes from that day.
The government takes the decision to reopen educational institutions from February 22. The decision was taken at a meeting with the minister on Wednesday night.
The Education Minister said, as per our record, only 34 lakh students have been vaccinated against Covid-19, while almost 1.26 crore students have taken the first dose.
“We have asked schools, colleges, and Madrasah to strictly follow hygiene rules. Wearing a mask and washing hands is mandatory. Our team has already started their monitoring,” said the minister.
Speaking regarding this year’s SSC and HSC examinations, Education Minister Dipu Moni said the exams might be held in June if the coronavirus situation is under control.
Earlier, the authority announced that the Educational Institutions will close across the country from January 21 to February 6 due to the new variant of Covid-19. Later, the shutdown was extended till February 20.
