Due to the Covid-19 infection rise in the country, Education Institutions will remain closed for the next two weeks, Cabinet Division said in a gazette notification today January 21, 2022. The government declared a number of restrictions considering the rising trend of Covid infections across the country.

News on January 21, 2022
On January 21, 2022, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions will remain closed from today till February 6. Apart from this, National University postponed the Honours 4th Year Exam, Degree 1st Year Exam as well all the examinations under the university.
The government declared a number of restrictions considering the rising trend of Covid infections across the country.
As per the notice, not more than 1 hundred people will not be allowed to gather in any social, political, government, or religious events. If any people attend such events, they have to carry a Covid-19 vaccine certificate with an RT-PCR negative certificate from a test which is done within 24 hours of the event.
“The Covid-19 infection rate is rising across the country, it is alarming that many students are being infected,” said Health Minister Zahid Maleque while a press briefing today.
“All the educational institutions such as schools, colleges, universities, and equivalent institutions will be closed till February 6, 2022. The next steps will be decided depending on the Covid situation after two weeks,” the health minister added.
