We want to keep educational institutions open as long as possible; Dipu Moni

Education Minister Dipu Moni said that there are no plans to shut down educational institutions at this time due to covid-19. Education Minister said this on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

She said that “I want to keep educational institutions open for as long as possible”

“In this situation, we have a meeting today. If it is absolutely necessary, so educational institutions will be closed, with the health of students, parents, and teachers taking priority,” the Education Minister added.

Dipu Moni was speaking to reporters regarding this matter after attending the 9th convocation of Daffodil International University, in Savar, as the chief guest this afternoon, reports our local correspondent.

Regarding the vaccination process for students, the minister said that students 12 to 18 years of age are being vaccinated.

Md Sabur Khan, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, and others accompanied the Minister of Education.

Degrees were awarded to 12,168 students who passed the bachelor’s and master’s examinations between Spring 2019 and Summer 2021 at this year’s convocation.
